For two years the Annual Report of the association has been presented as a can of food, the recognized symbol of a food donation. The mandate for the 2013 Annual Report was to keep the can as a vehicle, but to re-examine how it should be used.
The theme this year utilizes the can as content as opposed to as a container. In fact, as the can rolls out and we see more of the label, we see it is a bank to collect funds, while the label sensitizes people to the association’s message.
To highlight significant results in this annual report and to reinforce the message, artistic creativity has played with contrasts. The use of black and light-yellow backgrounds against black, light-yellow and white lettering, the choice of occasional bold, imposing typography cast against thin and delicate text, as well as the contrasting sizes of certain key elements, all contribute to getting the message across.
